I drove down to see this boat. Bud is an honest man and was a pleasure to meet. This is a three owner boat. The boat has been owned by Bud since 2005. When I went to see the boat, I meet both Bud and his friend who owned the boat before Bud. The boat is kept clean and neat. The Cummins engine is a great fit for the boat. The boat performed well. I made an offer to Bud that was lower than his threshold. I believe for the right person the boat is fairly priced. I would make some changes and upgrades to the boat and that would be cost prohibitive for me.

The right person for this boat is probably the person who will use the boat as is--- which is still a very good and clean boat. It is more a clean work boat mode as is, with a great power plant. If anyone wants more details on what I saw. Send me a PM. Again, Bud would be an ideal person to buy from.

Wow, I can't believe this boat didn't sell yet. A nice, clean, recreational use Downeaster. I'd be all over that if I was in the market. Bud, post more pictures!

I just spoke with Bud. Great guy! Boat sold last spring and was taken to MA for recreational use by new owner, he said. Bud loved the boat, used it for diving and offshore fishing in North Carolina. Said ran it at 21 knots with the Cummins 6BT.
