I’ve seen this boat for sale for some time with a pretty big reduction in price. Anybody have any knowledge as to why it hasn’t sold? Looks nice with that windshield.

I called about it around this time a year ago. The 2017 engine has crack exhaust manifold and a couple of other issues I'm struggling to remember. Also - hard to be sure from the pictures but it looks like a pre '84 hull with the true round chines. My understanding is that Sisu modified the hulls in '84 to provide some chine/molded in rail effect.

I looked at the pics on my computer instead of my phone and can definitely get a better look at the finish. I figured it must if had some problems as these hulls tend to move fairly quickly if they are in good shape.

I have a 1984 Bass boat with the molded chine/sprayrail. Allegedly it is the first one out of the mold with this feature. I have not been able to confirm this as fact but this info was told to me by a member who said it was his dads boat that he had built to order back then. It is in great shape still and I’ll be doing a build thread in the spring after it gets unwrapped.

Congrats on purchasing this sisu- I spoke to the owner and it looks like some good work and a great trailer to go with it. Just needs finishing. Looking forward to the thread and kicking myself for being too busy to buy it first!

Thanks @Toolate, it’s a beautiful boat and I am friends with previous owner and had helped him get a bunch of the work done to this point. I was bummed when he didn’t think he could complete it. I didn’t want a spring project but it pained me to let it go. He really wanted to see it finished as well so he is happy it’s staying close.

Wow, the Crowley really looks big next to the Sisu. I too talked with Sean about buying the boat before you guys started rebuilding it. Glad to see that it will still get the attention it deserves!
