Yup a little glass in the am. Gotta build the door with some mahogany and a piece of 1/2 marine ply. Gotta have it for the window man.

How are you able to keep the debris and dust out of the water?

Tarping off and using a vacuum hookup with any sanding or cutting that is done. I set up a set of saw horses and do all the cutting on dry land. With the glass I’m as careful as can be with the sides.

The door for starboard is looking nice. Sanding and glassing is next.
Got the helm in place but gotta do some fitting.

Took a break for a little. Started to rework the washboards and hawse pipes. A little bit of fairing.

Got the washboard braces into place with some fairing compound and some 1708 and a little poly. Looks good!

The starboard door to the helm is starting to come along. I forgot that I hate doing tracks but c’est la vie!

Looking good bubbalou! Every step seems to bring your boat back to life.
I'm going to paint my wheelhouse today.

Will do on yout hread. Not a DE yet but that will be next. All the methods apply to all boats. 1st coat down.
I'm not a gelcoat guy but totally understrand the value. I've sanded soooo much of it that I no longer want to use it.
Paint is ok with me is all, plus the costs and labor.
Game plan is the exterior then the interior then the window gaskets.

Yeah, I get paint and it’s benefits. Gelcoat coat is nice for fresh starts but paint is not as much work and easier to change directions.
Most like paint will be the direction I go for the hull. It’s just not such a commitment like awlgrip, not as expensive and if I get a scratch it’s not as problematic to fix.
