That is a nice looking hull. Do you know if they raised the sheer on this boat from the 38?

Oh man, I’d gladly trade my 30’ Southshore up for that!

I have to wonder what year the hull is. South Shore hasn't been in the game for a while. If I am right you wouldn't have to buy a brand new engine. A Cummins Recon, or freshly rebuilt running take out could go in.
Edit: a good source said the went out of business in the mid to late 90's. That opens up a lot of options for power.

Really. That is a damn good hull. Just as fast as the 30 YB and 32 Holland.

I heard this hull is still for sale. I was told a while back to plan 400 hours to get it fishable and and other 400 to make it comfortable . That seems light. I’m thinking more like full time for a year or 2,000 hours for a rookie to get it comfortable. Comfortable means bunks, shower, head, heat, AC . Layout is between 6 pack charter and tuna boat. Thoughts on how long it would take for a DIY to complete? Not including the scavenger hunt to gather the parts. thanks

I’m a building contractor and finished (actually gutted to a shell and re-finished) a 30’ Sisu a few years ago and I think we were into it for over 1000 man hours. Was a nice boat total repower, new tanks, hot water shower, galley with corian counters, vinyl ceilings, teak and holly floors, mahogany trim etc.. I would think if I did it again I could get a boat ready to lobster in much less than that but a decent cruiser this big would take me more time than that. Tempted all the time tho!

I have 2 sons who would be motivated. Cheap labor! But we all still work. So more likely 2 calendar years part time I’d guess. Minimum...

For sure! She’s a rugged looking traditional downeast hull. Not a lot of them out there from what I could tell. But did find an article reporting one with a 750 deer hitting 23 knots and 17.5 knot cruise with 1 8 gallon burn. I’ll have to look her up. Bella Grace. Have to read through the article at the link
