well, now that it's out, we need the deets. Is it a stretched 43' or a brandy new design? Can't really tell from the angle of the pics, although the sheer looks like the 43'

I would suggest leaving it alone unless the builder or buyer want to share the details.

That would make a great home for a 16 Litre Scania!

Did they mess with the original design in order to remedy the ride issue?

What was the problem with the ride?
This boat looks to be going nicely with a 750 Deere:

My understanding is that the 43 was running very flat and the problem was corrected by someone other than flowers by installing lifting rails. There is a thread somewhere on here that discussed this. Was the stern of the 43 stretched or was the hull split like was done with the morgan bay?

    Lou,
The original 43 was a 38 Flowers stretched and widened out to 43x 15-6. Then the mold was made. The 46 is the 43 with 3 feet added to the stern.
The original 43 always had rails on the bottom. They were changed to a one piece rail and relocated higher on the hull. At my suggestion they added a second set of rails lower and forward on the hull and the owner is now very happy with the boat. With the 825 FPT it runs great doing 22kts burning 25 gph.

The interesting thing about the Fowers hull is that like the Northern Bay , the origional hulls are both Spencer LIncoln designs as we all know. In this climate of everyone wanting bigger faster hulls it would be nice to see something in the 43 to 50 foot range that has his blessing or does this trend have his blessing or does he have any input these days ? I wonder what he thinks about his design being stretched. Certainy there is a market in this size range.
