Just passing this along to the guys from south shore / Boston area. Bill (wdoherty on here ) was the captain of the 31 JC Ishmael. A great human being and a hot shit. Lobstered up until this year even though he didn’t need to. Left his boat , license etc to his stern man. .Wake is Wednesday in Braintree

Bill Doherty was my high school semantics teacher 23 years ago. He was a great teacher. More recently I recognized him on his boat, and we have mutual friends. I always intended to get over to his boat and reintroduce myself, but I never got around to it. Sorry to hear of his passing.

Agree with the above. I'm sure he would have been more than welcome on our dock. Tight lines and full traps to you Bill.

Never got to know him personally but I’ve know his boat for years and saw it out just about every time I was out.
