Some welding work by a member on here, jwalka. This is a 9“ riser for a 6068AFM 265hp. Beautiful work. If you are interested in getting any work like this done I highly recommend him, his work and attention to detail is outstanding. Just message me and I will put you in contact with him.

Looks great, make sure you have a support for that riser. Those clamps won’t hold much weight

Is that all t304 or t316? If it were mine I would take it to either TDF or Accurate metals and have it electropolished.
It’s completely covered with a custom fit exhaust blanket otherwise that would look sharp!

John can Tig for sure. :)
He most definitely can and he seems to like doing the exhaust stuff. Seems that a lot of very good welders dont want to play with risers and other custom exhaust work.

316. Why would you electropolish it? It’s going to be heated to 1000 degrees and cooled repetitively, also is going to get 1-1/2” of high temp insulation put on it.
Lol

It raises the corrosion resistance especially around HAZ but maybe it is a waste of time and money if it's heating to1000 and covered in insulation.

Lookin good !! Question, why is that lead sheave so far away from the hauler throat ? just curious.
He wants to be able to pull shanks through it. I’ve got mine rigged like that on my boat as well. It makes room for snarls and such to make it through the fairlead.
