Where is the 12VDC negative connection supposed to be on the Cummins B series. What I inherited was an engine with it attached to the lifting eye bolt on the rear of the head. I'm thinking a better place would be a the starter bolt??? Re doing the electrical supply from the batteries with 1/0 and would like to know the opinions. Thx

I have seen the threaded hole for the rear mount used a lot. Sometimes the forward one. A lot of cases the rear mounts aren't used , they are on the transmission, and are close to the starter. On my c series , its on the opposite side of the engine, because the batteries are on the port side.Seems like it would be better if it was on the block some where, not on the head.
