thanks lou ill give you a holler areyou close to the harbor? buy you dinner or something ? we don't have maple syrup down here but we got great porkroll?

last trip up to the maine wooden boat show we brought up pork roll

i got heavy ground tackle and chain so i'd just sleep in the anchorage but there's no overnight parking at the marina so we're camping locally prob just park an crash on cots

the marina guy said be out by ten i wanted to just pay four days launch fee in advance

i don't really plan on being on the shoals in the dark anyway

we're rec fishing for fun mostly

i'm at scout camp but i did get to go service the bearings and check out all the boat stuff

mostly we canyon fish here which is only 55-70 miles not like nj hudson

i did but a flag for the boat

my mom is from west kingston RI btw

Hi Dave. You don't have to buy me diner. I know you want to catch some fluke but I should have mentioned that black sea bass is also very good eating and they are around as well. Great on the grill if your camping out.

About as late a launch as we have ever had.
Met a few folks on their boats this morning
We will be at Slip 1275 on Regman's boat if you want to stop by.
We shall see what comes of it.

Hello all: Our mooring was right off the fuel dock and hot as hades. We headed into town for lunch and couldn’t handle the zoo and the long launch waits. We ditched our mooring and headed over to Cape Pogue in Edgartown to anchor in the bay. Thanks so much to xbskt for getting us down here and I hope you all have a great evening. Anyone looking for Fluke should check out McBlair shoal charted north of Sankaty. If the larger fish have come in it is usually productive. Ben

ok thanks Lou ill give you a shout one night and i appreciate it

my family loves sea bass but they shut us down to 2 fish most of july and aug when the kids are out of school in oct job we have great seabass fishing on the offshore stuff in nj

we want to catch some big fluke but i love any bottom fish ling cod fluke seabass and haddock

we don't have haddock in md or nj, but nj has a surprising number of cod even in july aug that's when i do best as everybody goes by the deep water wrecks to tuna fish

we use big skimmer clams here but when we went to george's or stellwagon we always jigged

    i miss that too

i would have loved to come for the NS thing but had scout camp this week

A good time was had by all. I wish more had made it to 1275 but those that came enjoyed it from what I could tell.
Definitely a good crowd with a lot of varied interests but boats and fishing at the core.
The get together forced me to get off my ass and at least launch the Whaler.
A nice day off to get to know new people that ended with a great tuna entree at Slip 14.
    All good.

Call me if you are here and have any questions on what to do on a Sunday in Nantucket.
    I am around. 508-648-0951

I do intend to host again next year preferably from the deck of Merlin as I had hoped for this year.
I hear breakfast sandwiches calling me from my mooring.:D

Dave Nolan. I was a bit confused by your posts. I did not realize you were coming up here next week and not this one. I will be offshore doing a tourney and not available to communicate next week. I know Jeff would love to meet up with you so contact him while you are here. Safe travels.

That sucks. Sorry you didn't call me. I would have come got you with the Whalerand brought you right the Whalen in the Basin. All part of the service.:):):) Maybe next year. Can't do much about the weather or the "zoo" They pay my bills.
Hope you made a good weekend out of it on the Other Island and hope to see your face next year.
