And so it is done. I was worried it would be a bust due to lack of planning and no boat on my part but people came and it was great to put faces to avatars and shoot the shit with a bunch of nice folks.
We had enough of a good time with my life in a shit show this year that I will do it again next year and work harder to make it better and also have a boat in the water.
As it was, Fat2nawilly made good use of my 1000 lb mushroom with his beast of a 42 Bruno and that was cool. Along came a friend couple in their trick Seacraft and they rafted up and made the most of it. Glad that worked out.
Junkman came a long way but missed us at the meet up on Whalen so sorry for that. He was headed to PTown in his 36 BHM early on Sunday so I could not buy him lunch to make it up to him. Small world, small town his passenger knows my wife's uncle and then he runs into him downtown last night. Weird.
Hope to see you next year. Love the big BHM.
Some alcohol may have been consumed on Saturday night but no permanent damage done.
Short Rib Tostada appetizer and Tuna steak entree was as good as it gets for fresh seafood. You are guaranteed a great meal at Slip 14.
After having left the dock in Ct. at 2:30AM Regman99 was all done so we called it a night. It was good to see those who have now become good friends. Thanks for coming such a long way in that beast 38 Northern Bay. I just like to look at it. Hoping to fish off it this week before you head to the Vineyard to take Downrigga's calcutta money.:D
Could have been and will be better next year but not so bad for a first year.
Brian's girlfriend was nice enough to make us all breakfast sandwiches on the grill this morning on the Bruno. Got the report on their later evening and then we parted ways. Did they make it to Cisco Brewery today after getting "hung up" in town at other establishments last night? Maybe he'll chime in but again thanks to his very cool better half for a meal on the water. It had been too long for me and I thank her.
I had hoped to catch up with Downrigga this morning but his 36 Northern Bay was gone from his slip. Back to life for a few days before the tournament on the Vineyard later this week. Good to see you again and tell the family thanks for sharing you with us for a while last night.
At this moment sitting on my deck writing this I am sure this will happen again.
I will throw out July 10, 11 ,12 2020 as the date for next year.
I learned few things and can make it better so Peg and I hope to see more of you next year and again thanks to all that came. A good time to be back on the water.
    All Best,
    Jeff

Junkman had his flying yesterday and I had mine on the Whaler.
Put these photos my wife took straight in the WTF category.

Sorry we missed out, looked like a fun time. We’re hoping we can tow the Duffy down next summer to partake in the fun.

If you wait around long enough Downrigga will be there. You can chat him up.
Did you have any run ins with the head boats?

no it was foggy and we had no idea where they were fishing at all we ended up on the south side of the island fishing the rips

    constant action mostly smaller fish

then we jigged 4-5 miles off the beach had drifts of a mile in 80-100 catching huge seabass

the jigs worked better on big fish

no run ins at all nice people all over the marina and on the water

next year i'll try and figure out where they are catching the bigger flatties

    those seals are something else
