Couple of pictures
this side of the equador
heard fortier made a great boat didnt know they float upside down also
Thank you for fixing my oops! What are you steering in Bay Shore, I'm in Islip.
good luck, great looking fortier always liked the way they looked. a few steam past me outside F.I. while i am fishing they always look like a nice ride.
been through quite a few pushing around an older parker right know. bought it as a fill in boat but somehow now i am doing some mods and glass work going to paint the topsides, inside cabin and decks. live off saxon ave. boats will be in bayshore marina. where does the fortier hang its lines
She is on Ocean ave, opposite the old Molly mallones.
i was down that canal in a private yard for 5 years. my slip is in BSM over by the paddle wheel dinner boat.
LOVE IT.....even upside down!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Should be running mine back home to CT in a couple weeks did the dry survey just waiting on the sea trial....
Both are very nice examples of the 26 Fortier! Best of luck with them.
Love that fighting lady yellow hull. A friend of mine knows the owner, great boat, I just couldn't swing the nut! Hope you did well negotiating. Enjoy the ride!!
How long a stick do you need, and at what length are the hash marks?
i am using a 48 inch piece of 3/8 pine dowel.
10 inches is full
7.5 inches 3/4 full
5 inches 1/2 full
2.5 inches 1/4 full.
Same here. I have hash marks same as above at both ends so that you can stick both tanks with a dry end.
From experience You will run out when tanks are down to about 1/8th. So you have about 86 gallons or so of usable fuel. I was seeing how far I could run it down and ran out after the last line was tied to the dock. Better to be lucky than good
duh. why didnt i think of marking both ends?
i have 2 dowels.
Fuel shut off question
I know the Fortier has 2 fue shut offs.. I'm assuming you run her with both open, and keep an eye on fuel amounts? New to a single diesel. Thx
For 32 years I kept both fuel shut offs open....never had a problem !!!
Thanks, great advice as always!
yes. this is my first season with a single diesel as well.
i keep both valves open.
do you guys have teleflex cable steering and a tiller?
i do, my helm wont hold a course or anywhere near s straight
line unless i hold it. any thoughts on that?
