Nice looking build. It has been on the market for quite some time. I would guess that the slower speed is a tougher sell in today's market. It could have leaky fuel tanks too but that is not too terrible to redo, I had mine replaced, it was a great opportunity to clean things up. I am happy with mine, especially with the new, quieter engine and faster cruise. It had a 210hp Cat in it when I bought it. Loud but reliable engine. It rides well underway but at rest in a beam sea it is rolly compared to more modern hard chine, wider beam downeast boats. She cruises a lot better above 12 knots and does really well anywhere between 14-19 which you can get with a newer, bigger engine but that is a bit more costly.

There is a lot of boat here for sure and it's nicely finished on the inside. I don't know what to make of the wood stove though, if that's what it really is. I have a nice 3208 CAT 260 HP turbo motor and Twin Disc transmission that would be right at home in this classic cruiser if anybody is interested.

What a beaut. If you just wanted to cruise Casco Bay, this is the boat to do it in.

Was this on a mooring in Freeport this summer?

Nice full size boat with lots of amenities and potential beyond for a fair price. If your not In a hurry that cat will likely run 40 more years. Hull is beefy

Corded phone is awesome! Hahah. Think it’s an intercom? Must be no? Or maybe it’s there just for fun.

Yeah I dunno...just saw it on YW and thought for the money it seemed like a lot of boat with good options down the road. Thanks all. And thanks for the pics and offers to help!

She’d look amazing with a nice dark blue hull and green bottom paint.

It is an intercom, I had one on a boat when I made a bad decision and bought something I shouldn't have.....

It's a beauty. Anyone got a guess of what the annual expenses including everything to maintain, haul, launch and moor a boat of this size.

Guesstimate 3-4K ? Lots of variables. On a moor and yard kept.

2k + winter storage stand rental for 38’ of boat that’s not excessively wide for length. If you could move the boat over land your transport cost would be little less than half that in our area.
Winter cover self 350+. Yard 900+
Winter layup service of oil change and filters, antifreeze, etc 200.+ If you do work or by the hour rate of the yard. Spring commission of high quality Bottom paint 1 1/2-2 gal minimum of our boat , zincs, etc. 300.+ doesn’t include any updates or need to repairs. we have two moors that we get charged approximately 1k we are planning or learning how to do some servicing of gear between inspections to lessen costs and learn a new skill. It all depends on abilities and sourcing out materials and somewhat location. We have acquired the needed tools to service ,cover our boat which keeps costs down. Having to be in a yard by the water is the biggest cost for us. Hope this helps.

She’s been on Casco Bay for years. She used to sit just off Cousins Island. More than twice I’ve stopped to take a look...very pretty from afar, and up close too.

gorgeous boat. someone should buy it , and refurbish, update to cruise at 15 knots, redo the bright work, etc., etc. head room is an issue for me , 6 2 wont cut it !

That is an issue with most Downeast boats, one reson we are in a Tiara.

I looked at a few DE's and headroom is always a deal breaker when you are 6'4"
