Your boat is simply beautiful. Just a question. Structurally, do you need as much 'bracing' as you are showing? Or would a much smaller curved brace or bracket, matching either the flybridge curve or the window (nobody will really be able to 'read' the difference) get the job done, leaving the flybridge more 'open'?

I believe its necessary to have the curved leg as that completes the triangle on side profile. The aft straight leg is for stern side.

That works as well in my opinion. Another tough choice. None of the options seem awkward to me.

    Option 2 all day long

Option 3 seems to be competing against itself. You have the flat of the roof and the flat of the bridge drawing attention, then the matching curves of the aluminum work with the space below the bridge. The aluminum looks too large crosswise.

If you start the rear aluminum roof brace a foot or two forward, and have it slant toward aft at the same angle as the front support, keep the curvature but tone it down a little. Now everything has the swept back look, like it’s flying along.

I like simple. Are you planning an enclosure for this? If so, I would consider going with less rake for the "windshield" of the enclosure. No matter what you choose, it's still an awesome boat! Best of luck with it!

Just thinking about the sun. Those large spans tend to really shrink and add stress to the stitching/zippers. I think move vertical enclosures are easier to install and remove as a result. However, that top Frank just posted is gorgeous!

to be clear I was talking about the hardtop, not the boat as I realize it is the same hull with a different finish approach...i.e. I am not trying to be a wiseass.

    Just a thought.

As art directors, designers and writers, we were trained to take away everything that doesn't matter, and keep taking it away, until all we had left was what mattered.

(Probably not an accurate rendering of the diameter of the stainless members. That would be resolved by (1) engineering, and (2) trial and error with sample pieces prior to fabrication.)
