I'm new to the forum, located on the west coast with a Duffy 37 w/ 503hp CAT C9. I've been expanding what I do myself and this forum has been incredibly useful, thanks to everyone including PatriciaLynn and Jjammer who helped me out on another thread. Biggest project so far was replacing the raw water pump after an internal seal failed. Now I'm putting a Seakamp hydraulic cooler in the 1 3/4" hose between heat exchanger and exhaust. Should I mount it on the stringer and have an elbow to get back up to the exhaust or figure out some kind of support to avoid the elbow? How big an impact does an elbow have on flow?
