So, I bought Rotella oil for my 6BTA cummins on Amazon today. Under $13 per gallon in 2.5 gallon jugs. Seems reasonable? Free shipping.

No hazardous shipping scam? I just tried to buy some 10w40 Suzuki 4 stroke synthetic blend oil on a different web site and found it for a very reasonable price (about $10/gal less than local). So I ordered 4 gallons to qualify for free shipping. Went to check out cart and shipping was not quite free...............there was a $325 hazardous material shipping charge tacked on! WTF? So I went local instead. Why advertise on line if you can't ship it?

    Yikes!

No indication that it's bad, all reviews are good. Free prime shipping. I did notice that it isn't the normal two day shipping, I kinda expected something like that.

Edit: saw some reviews that said it leaked in shipping? 86% positive. IDK...we'll see.

Most likely because your shipping to CT. I wonder if you put in a different address in a bordering state might be less.

New job started in an existing building constructed entirely of concrete (re-hab). Has paint everywhere that tested (barely) for PCB's. Looks like they may have to hire a certified contractor to drill all the anchors for MEP supports! Anywhere else in the world >50ppm (which is 99% of the leeching encountered) it is fine to drill, cut, chip etc. But not CT. Nope we have a zero tolerance threshold.

BTW it's a state building so it looks like we're gonna need those tolls to pay for this.

I get 2.5 gallon Rotella at Walmart. Don't remember the price but I thought it was pretty cheap.

I've got some good deals at at Wally World before, but their normal price can't beat Amazons. I did check that before ordering.

Last time I got Rotella, I'm pretty sure the best price I found was on Ebay. 2.5 gallon jugs seems to be the best bang for the buck. Gallons jugs are the next, funny 5 gallon pails are the most money per gallon, that I've found.
