I don't know about you but I do a lot of looking up at clouds and at the sky while on my boat. I like to keep a good eye on the weather in real time.
Every once in a while you'll see some crazy stuff.

That looks like a good time to be in the harbor, preferably even on a mooring.

Pic of us last year on Jeffries before a squall came through. Photo credit goes to Hotreels who had their front window blown out during it.

Not on the water but pretty close to it. The harbor has been inland quite a bit this year. Tidal storm surge trapped in the marsh on Brant Point.
marsh empty.jpg marsh full.jpg Looks like it might be coming in again tomorrow.

This one does not count, it was taken from the air, far from the sea. But aviators and mariners share common respect for the fury of nature.

Got stuck in 1 of them years ago. 14' dingy/outboard. At the same that was churning up the water the fish were jumping in the boat. Weakies were nuts.
Was with my dad and best friend...since past, both So it's a dug in memory.
Coast gaurd came in from the rain, could only see half the boat and they brought us in.
My dad, a Navy man said he's never fish with me again.
Funny part was he went home and put his wallet in the microwave...lol everything melted.
