I want to replace my Todd 5 Star helm chair. I have looked at several brands and I am leaning toward a Llebroc chair. Im looking at the Naulilus Series 2. I have never sat in one of these chairs so a bit nervous ordering because of the expense.
Does anyone have any experience with these or any of the Series 2 line of Llebroc helm chairs?

I have this one, it has been on the boat for about 5 years and still shows like new. It is well made and very sturdy and guaranteed to put any helmsman to sleep after a long trip.
We also put this same chair on a 42 Duffy a couple years ago and they too have been problem free and holding up well.

i like that chair. Would you consider that to be a high back chair? I want something to catch my head when I lean back.

Just checked their website...looks like you can add a head rest...would you recommend the head rest option?

I don't have the head rest as I an not that tall so it has not been a problem. But the back does not go much beyond the shoulders if you want support for your head.
The others we installed on the Duffy got the headrest on both seats as the owner is about 6'5" and has worked out very well and he has been happy with them.

Blitzen, how would you compare this chair to a Stidd for comfort?

Just as comfortable, if not better. Mine came with the lumbar support which is a very nice feature. Once you are in it you don't want to get off it.

    Llebroc

I have the tradewinds 2 high back. Night and day difference between the Llebroc and the stidds that I use at work. The fit and finish of the Llebroc is much better. I had a warranty issue with the height adjustment piston on the pedestal and Llebroc made good on it...even five years after purchase. Really great customer service. Just keep a eye on whoever is in the chair...hard not to fall asleep.

I haven't had as good of luck with Liebroc. A few years ago I had a chair on one of our workboats that the locking pin broke on the swivel. I called them at least 5 times. Even spoke with the owner, Ray IIRC. Chair was about a year old and I was told each time a replacement part was on the way. I even offered to pay for it. Crew hated me. I do this stuff all day long. Can't remember another time I was skunked like this.

    I'll sit down now.

There has been one on eBay I've been looking at. Larson? Good price, high back but shipping is like 150$

The stidds are nice but I think the llebroc is a better product. Thank you for the input.
