After looking for a trailerable lobster boat. I got word about a company called Romarine. I am looking for advice and/or knowledge about this company. Currently leaning towards building one of there 24’ with a 200 Suzuki on it. They have a 10 year warranty on hull and deck. Planning on putting a hauler on it and haul a few traps, going striper fishing, Albie, squid fishing etc. Thanks in advance for any input! They are located in Bristol, RI

Can't tell you much about them other than they are no frills and usually beat on pretty hard by owners, much like Privateers and Steiger Crafts. Have you looked into the 22 foot General Marine? I'm not trying top steer you in any direction, BUT it's worth a good hard look. They might even build you a 24 foot version of it.

See Marktore’s post in the DE Projects and Boat Building section. He just had a 24 ROS built and there are pictures. Really good looking boat.

Before I bought my Seaway I looked at Romarine. Price was good but they wouldn't return a phone call or three

Bristol ocean scout 200 hp trailer

Romarine now makes the Ocean Scout 23. This looks like a good project boat. The new ones are made with composite materials but the older ones had wood.

Agreed. Life's too short to own an ugly boat

I think they were referring to the Romarine with flat sheer. I'm looking forward to hearing Mark's report on ride and handling. We haven't heard much about them here. Looks nice though.

Ros isn't too bad. It has at least some curve. But looks like a flat bottom which won't do me any good

24 ROS is anything but a flat sheer. Beautiful lines. Sorry about the eggbeater though. o_OLOL I remember when Romarine first came out. They were very well built and popular with the long handle rakers.
