Robert the outer chines look somewhat like this pic. except they actually follow the inner chines. There are many ways and configurations of runners and their installations. I see your talking about 60 to 90 HP, I don't think i would put the on anyway except for parallel with the center-line. . When we made them/ Skiff's, the largest motor made was a Merc. 15 HP. :)

Hello Old Mud. Would you mind posting the pics again? I'd like the visual aid. Thanks!

mmm? The Total boat builder put a 40 hp and advocated the vessel could handle a 90 hp. I was leaning towards a 60 hp up to hearing this from you. mmm? I'll hit them up to double check. Really appreciate your input

Man that things sharp. If you watched that build and didn’t want start building a boat , I think you better check your pulse. I wish I had seen it before I ever built my 16 skiff. Just seeing the ripping of the inner chine logs so they don’t hold water . Keep up the good work

The extra effort to rip them that way does pay off. Sheds water well.

She sure looks good wet. I bet she really moves with that power. I'll be referring to this thread for a while trying to imitate your outcome. Thanks for sharing!

This may help you some. I pulled these dimensions off the model I constructed based on the TotalBoat videos.
