If you're looking to install a double anchor pulpit, having your Electradyne in the area where you installed it is not ideal. Do-able, but not ideal. The reason I say that is because this is not 65' Lydia where you're dropping the anchor from the bow of the boat. This design (yours) will call for more turns and bends of the anchor rope as its runs down the starboard side there. Your biggest bend is going to be the first 90 degree turn from the hauler forward to bow. To accomplish this you'll need a custom roller built that can withstand a lot of pressure. In a practical, well designed system from the cockpit where you are and actual the bowsprit you're going to have a minimum of 3 sets of rollers. Each of which compromise the pulling strength of your Electradyne. The more popular systems would have the Electradyne built into a custom box mounted on the gunwale which will shoot the rope down onto the cockpit deck without guidance or the Electradyne is mounted as far aft on the starboard house as possible where the person in the cockpit can reach the Electradyne. Attached is a picture of the old system on a previous boat. Although a poor picture you can get an idea of where two of your rollers need to be. The roller not viewed in pic would be approximately midship. Middle of your house. Goodluck.

Thank you for the feedback Fish Hard, I have 35' DownEast, went with a 10 inch wheel on our Electradyn and a three-quarter horsepower motor which supposedly has more torque than the 1 hp motor. We are custom making the rollers now, 3 sets just like yours. Hopefully works well.

The drops at the bow are usually done 2 ways for the drops
Pullies w shackles or on a fixed angled roller. Keep in mind the ones on the pullies do not keep the anchors as secure as the roller.
They are secure and tight from dropping. But they swing side to side and do make bit of noise. The angled drops are quiet when locked in tight. So on a steam in shitty conditions one is more noisy than the other because they will swing side to side.
I'll try to attach some pics of both. Then you will better understand the difference. Not a game changer by any means, but something to consider. And hauler should be on side either on side of house or on gunnel,
Like stated above "Dual Anchor Systems" does some beautiful work. If you have specs perhaps reach out to him. If you need his number PM myself or Ifishhard.

Hi Dave, thanks, we are making our own fixed roller drops at bow. No blocks pulleys.

Heres one I did on a friends boat. Its a sister to the one on my 35 maine coaster that I have used for ten years or so. The hydraulic hauler is easy to conceal in the gunwhale as its only a hydraulic motor with no reduction gear housing. The angle makes for perfect shot into the line bin with no handling of the line. If you mount it on the house vertically, someone will have to guide/coil the line to keep it from going overboard. Rollers were made of 1/4" square tube that was cut to shape and welded to 1/2" aluminum plate.

Looks good. I have 20” clearance under where it’s mounted I hopefully can slide a rope bin underneath or close enough. Any suggestions for rope bin? I am using 600’ each side.

I use two small garbage pails. Each rhode has 1200' of 7/16" sink rope. I regret replacing the 3/8" with 7/16" its too bulky in the pail. For 600' of 3/8" you may be able to get away with two bushel baskets.

1/2” is pretty big.
we fish 3/8 for boats up to 38’ no problem.
remember lines have drag.
sometime on wind against tide, w a strong current will grab the lines and it can push you up on the chains. 1/2 = more drag than 3/8
ive seen 35’ boats get pushed up on the anchors due to the drag on 3/8
Not by any means trying to tell you what to do,
But maybe rethink the size.
900’ of 3/8 (quality line) is what we fish with.
You have to remember if you “spread em” like a thai hooker’s legs,
Then your always gonna need more line to run up on one anchor, while letting line out in other.
It can never hurt to have lil more.
I would definitely be happier with 1200’ then 600’

I carry the 1200' a side for a couple of reasons. When fishing offshore wrecks sometimes I double anchor as deep as 250-300'. Also, when tuna fishing in the canyon ill join both together so I can throw 2400' of rhode in 500-600' of water.

Pat,
I didn't want to post all the pics of his work he did for you on both your boats.
I tried to crop it a bit. Only you could tell it was yours.
That last job he did in your CC is beautiful.
I had to at least post one, since it was perfect for this thread.
Very Rare you see it on a CC.
Devin learned much from his dad, that's for damm sure. His father Bill did a few of my buddies I fished with in the past.
I even like the gunnell mounted hauler he did in your 29. Just like Carmines.
Makes it easy since its all in front of you
Post some better pics of Devin's work that he did on your CC for the boys.
Your job came out sweet
