Just launched Friday and have an issue with my starboard tab; hope it's not with the servo motor. Do a functional test on the hard b/f you splash.
The torque setting on the screws holding the outer cassette (with the blades) is critical. Too tight and the blades will bind up. 3.7 ft lbs is the limit. It takes a micro torque wrench to get that low.
Edit: added pic of torque limiting T Wrench I found. Pre-set for 3.7 ft lbs. will be used to remove and clean blade cassettes ea year. $20.

I installed mine in 2017. Last year two of them died. Turns out there was a recall on some. The wrong spec wire was used on the servo leads. The wire rotted right through. Zipwake replaced the parts for free. Still cost me a short haul. Run the diagnostics and call IMTRA. They are great,

Thanks guys. Went thru motor recall already, but this winter the yard removed the tabs for some work. Betcha they overtorqued the installation. Hav ordered the CDI tool - ought to be fun trying to retorque underwater...

Per the manual, the "cassettes" should be pulled at haulout and the hit with a power washer, along with the base with gears, to remove any fouling.
Or in our case on "fresh water- Lake Erie'' - Zebra Mussels...
I'll be keeping the wrench on the boat just for that purpose.

Edit: The wrench comes with an allen bit - I changed out for the required Torx and put it back in the package so I know where it is...

Thought I would update everyone on my install and review of the Series E zipwake, Mamma Mia is a 51' Mochi Craft with dual MAN 900's, 16' beam and 60K lbs fully laden.. We splashed last week and I could not be more impressed with the results after about 7 hours of trials and testing. Pitch and roll control are amazing, she is handles amazingly in all conditions. Fuel economy and Performance improvement has been remarkable. Conservatively a 20% improvement in economy (10-12 gallons an hour). Cruising speed improvement of 1 kts t at 1700 RPM. and top speed improvement at 2300RPM of 2kts. Boat is a 51' Mochi Craft with dual MAN 900's, 16' beam and 60K lbs fully laden.

so after about 100 nm of use so far, they pitch the bow down just about as much as if she`s sitting in the slip, which does toss some spray on the windshield at 18 knots. ive found that 100% tab is way more than i like, but 70/75% is a great medium. with the programable curve i have adjusted the max pitch to 73% while in the auto mode. its a slightly less flatter ride but keeps the spray down. i am still adjusting the auto roll feature but with some more miles, im sure ill find what works best for the boat. it does seem to be felt more , or at least more noticeable while running downsea with no pitch.. its just a different feeling in the ride.
another effect of the flatter pitch was that my radar paints a better picture than before while steaming, birds and distant boats have a more solid of a target instead of a "come and go" spec.
the conditions were, day 1 , sw 10/12 knots, day 2, was nw 16/20 knots.
overall im very happy with the purchase, how the boat performs, and the much better viewing angle from the helmseat.
i have no affiliation with zipwake, just went on other reccomendations from others, but would have been pissed if they sucked, but they dont..
if anyone has any questions about the installation, setup, or if your around the island and want to see for yourself, give me a shout.
thanks for the info ive gotten off this site from various members also, much appreciated.
